Matter is anything that occupies space, possesses mass and can be perceived by our sense organs. It exists in nature in three, usually inter convertible physical states: solids, liquids and gases. For instance, ice, water and steam are respectively the solid, liquid and gaseous states of water. Things in the physical world are made up of a relatively small number of basic materials combined in various ways. The physical material of which everything that we can see or touch is made is matter. Matter exists in three different states: solid, liquid and gaseous. Human senses with the help of tools allow us to determine the properties of matter. Matter can undergo a variety of changes - physical and chemical, natural and controlled.
Chemistry and physics deal with the study of matter, its properties, changes and transformation with energy. There are two kinds of properties: physical - colour, taste, odour, density, hardness, solubility and ability to conduct electricity and heat; in solids the shape of their crystals is significant, freezing and boiling points of liquids.
Chemical properties are the changes in composition undergone by a substance when it is subjected to various conditions. The various changes may be physical and chemical. The physical properties are temporary. In a chemical change the composition of the substance is changed and new products are formed. Chemical properties are permanent.
It is useful to classify materials as solid, liquid or gas (though water, for example, exists as solid (ice), as liquid (water) and as gas (water vapour). The changes of state described by the terms solidify (freeze), liquify (melt), vapourise (evaporate) and condense are examples of physical changes. After physical change there is still the same material. Water is water whether it is solid, liquid or gas. Also, there is still the same mass of material. It is usually easy to reverse a physical change.

Ó÷åíûå Ñèíüöçÿíñêîé àñòðîíîìè÷åñêîé îáñåðâàòîðèè (Êèòàé) èçó÷èëè ñâåò îò ýêñòðåìàëüíîé ìàãíèòíîé çâåçäû HD 345439, îïðåäåëèâ åå ñâîéñòâà. Îäíîé èç åå îñîáåííîñòåé ÿâëÿþòñÿ íàìàãíè÷åííûå îáëàêà ïëàçìû, ïåðèîäè÷åñêè îìðà÷àþùèå ñâåò îò çâåçäû, ñíèæàÿ åå áëåñê.
HD 345439 ÿâëÿåòñÿ áîãàòûì ãåëèåì ìàññèâíîé ìàãíèòíîé çâåçäîé ñ î÷åíü ñèëüíûìè ìàãíèòíûìè ïîëÿìè. Îíà ïðèìåðíî â ñåìü ðàç áîëüøå è ïî÷òè â äåâÿòü ðàç ìàññèâíåå Ñîëíöà. HD 345439 èìååò ïðîäîëüíûå ìàãíèòíûå ïîëÿ, äåìîíñòðèðóþùèå ïåðèîäè÷åñêóþ èçìåí÷èâîñòü àìïëèòóäîé îêîëî 2-3 êèëîãàóñîâ (êÃñ), à ïîëÿðíàÿ ìàãíèòíàÿ ñèëà ýòîé çâåçäû äîñòèãàåò 10 êÃñ. Òàêèå ìîùíûå ìàãíèòíûå ïîëÿ ìîãóò ñïîñîáñòâîâàòü íàêîïëåíèþ îêîëîçâåçäíîãî ìàòåðèàëà è ñôîðìèðîâàòü ïëîòíûé äèñê.
Äëÿ îáúÿñíåíèÿ èçìåí÷èâîñòè ìàãíèòíûõ çâåçä ó÷åíûå ðàçðàáîòàëè ìîäåëü æåñòêî âðàùàþùåéñÿ ìàãíèòîñôåðû (àíãë. Rigidly Rotating Magnetosphere, RRM). Îíà ïðåäïîëàãàåò, ÷òî äâèæóùàÿñÿ âäîëü ñèëîâûõ ëèíèé ïëàçìà ïîäâåðæåíà ãðàâèòàöèîííîìó âîçäåéñòâèþ, ÷òî çàñòàâëÿåò åå ïàäàòü íà ïîâåðõíîñòü çâåçäû, è öåíòðîáåæíîé ñèëå, íàïðàâëåííîé â ïðîòèâîïîëîæíóþ ñòîðîíó. Äëÿ êàæäîé ëèíèè ìàãíèòíîãî ïîëÿ ñóùåñòâóåò òî÷êà, ãäå ñóììà îáîèõ ïîòåíöèàëîâ äîñòèãàåò ìèíèìàëüíîãî çíà÷åíèÿ, íåîáõîäèìîãî äëÿ íàêîïëåíèÿ îêîëîçâåçäíîãî ìàòåðèàëà.
Íàáëþäåíèÿ ïðîâîäèëèñü ñ ïîìîùüþ Íàíüøàíñêîãî òåëåñêîïà Ñèíüöçÿíñêîé àñòðîíîìè÷åñêîé îáñåðâàòîðèè â òå÷åíèå 12 íî÷åé ñ 12 îêòÿáðÿ ïî 12 íîÿáðÿ 2020 ãîäà. Íà îñíîâå ôîòîìåòðè÷åñêèõ äàííûõ áûë ðàññ÷èòàí ïåðèîä îáðàùåíèÿ çâåçäû, ðàâíûé îêîëî 0,76 ñóòîê. Êðèâàÿ áëåñêà äåìîíñòðèðóåò S-îáðàçíóþ àñèììåòðè÷íóþ ôîðìó, ÷òî, ñîãëàñíî RRM, âûçâàíî ìàãíèòíûìè îáëàêàìè - ñêîïëåíèÿìè ïëàçìû, îìðà÷àþùèìè ñâåò îò çâåçäû. Àñèììåòðè÷íîñòü ìîæåò îáúÿñíÿòüñÿ óñòðàíåíèåì ìåæäó öåíòðîì äèïîëüíîãî ìàãíèòíîãî ïîëÿ HD 345439 è åãî îñüþ âðàùåíèÿ.
Ñîãëàñíî RRM, ñèëüíàÿ öåíòðîáåæíàÿ ñèëà, âîçíèêàþùàÿ ïðè áûñòðîì âðàùåíèè, äîëæíà ïðèâîäèòü ê öåíòðîáåæíûì ïðîðûâàì ìàññû, îäíàêî ïðèçíàêîâ ýòîãî ÿâëåíèÿ â êðèâûõ áëåñêà íå íàáëþäàëîñü. Ó÷åíûå îáúÿñíÿþò ýòî ðàñõîæäåíèå òåì, ÷òî ìàãíèòíûì îáëàêàì áûëî íåâîçìîæíî íàáðàòü äîñòàòî÷íóþ ìàññó, íåîáõîäèìóþ äëÿ ïðîðûâà. Êðèòè÷åñêàÿ ìàññà ñèëüíî çàâèñèò îò ñèëû ìàãíèòíîãî ïîëÿ, çâåçäíîãî ðàäèóñà, ñêîðîñòè ïîòåðè ìàññû è ñêîðîñòè ïîáåãà ïëàçìû. Ïðåäïîëàãàåòñÿ, ÷òî ó HD 345439 õàðàêòåðíà áîëåå íèçêàÿ ÷àñòîòà ïðîðûâîâ, ÷åì ó äðóãèõ ïîäîáíûõ çâåçä. Òàêèì îáðàçîì, âðåìåííàÿ øêàëà ïðîðûâîâ áîëüøå, ÷åì ó ïîñëåäíåãî, ñ íèçêîé ÷àñòîòîé ýïèçîäîâ ïðîðûâîâ.
Âîçðàñò çâåçäû ñîñòàâëÿåò ïðèìåðíî 26,8 ìèëëèîíà ëåò, ýôôåêòèâíàÿ òåìïåðàòóðà - 22 000 êåëüâèíîâ, à ñîäåðæàíèå ýëåìåíòîâ òÿæåëåå ãåëèÿ ìåíüøå ñîëíå÷íîãî ïðèìåðíî âòðîå. Ðàññòîÿíèå äî HD 345 439 îöåíèâàåòñÿ â 6982 ñâåòîâûõ ëåò.
